The Virtual Credit Union Study Program in India.
        On May 11, 2021, FSCT and about 100 participants from various countries joined the Virtual Credit Union Study Program: Samata Cooperative Credit Society in India which hosted by Association of Asian Confederation of Credit Unions (ACCU) and Maharashtra State Federation Cooperative Credit Societies Limited (MAFCOCS). Samata Coop took this opportunity to celebrate its 35th Anniversary and presented us its journey, policies, operation structure, best practice and response to the impacts of COVID -19.
        Samata Cooperative Credit Society had been established since 1986 with 520 members and total assets of 2.46 Lakh. Today, it serves 56,758 members, deposit of 6 Billion INR, Loan of 4.55 Billion INR and total assets of 10.54 Billion INR. Besides, Samata Coop provides Mobile Banking Services, Debit Card, ATM, QR code system for online account, Forensic Audit Room for online system, home service to senior citizen, COOP shop and online market, and online training program to its member. Furthermore, it also concerns about environment by providing cashless and minimum useless paper. During the hard time of COVID-19, Samata Coop has contributed complimentary meals and groceries to unemployed and people who affected from pandemic for 3 months.
