FSCT presented the warmest welcome and hospitality to Dr. Ariel Guarco, ICA President, accompany with Mr. Balasubramanian Lyer, Regional Director – ICA Asia and Pacific and also Ms. Gabriela Buffa, ICA Senior Advisor on July 22, 2019 which is the first time visit to Thailand for ICA President. FSCT introduced on our management and milestones to them. We also invited them to visit our cooperative museum which located on 4th level at FSCT’s Building. We had the great honored and opportunity to interview him briefly about his visit at FSCT and the cooperative museum. He offered such a concept, idea, knowledge and experience which we can apply to savings and credit cooperative movement in Thailand.

He was recently elected as President of the International Cooperative Alliance, and is a cooperative leader that has undertaken a cooperative movement development process in his country and has built strong bonds with the rest of the cooperative movement in the American continent by becoming Cooperatives of the Americas’ Board member and through other regional integration sectors.
He is the member of the International Co-operative Alliance’s Global Board since 2013 and Deputy Vice-President of Cooperatives of the Americas since 2014. Also 2013 he met Pope Francis during an audience he held with leaders of ICA at the Vatican.
He is a regular speaker in different Universities, Seminars, Conferences and Congresses related to the Solidary Economy sector both in his home country and in foreign countries.
He is the author of the book “The Argentine Cooperative Movement – A hopeful Look into the Future”.
