Association of Asian Confederation of Credit Unions (ACCU) conducted
the 2017 ACCU Forum and AGM during 18-22 September 2017 at Galadari Hotel, Colombo in Sri Lanka. Therefore, the Federation of Savings and Credit Cooperatives of Thailand Limited (FSCT) as a Regular Member of ACCU presented Board of Directors, Supervisor and Staffs participated in the aforementioned forum and AGM.
For the 2017 ACCU Forum, 2 days Forum, during 20-21 September 2017 in theme “Building Bridges Together to Create Value for People and Communities.” The mentioned-forum is concerning about the relationship of SACCO/CU and Network Integration, the exact mission of SACCO/CU, updated news and information, and development in SACCO/CU movement.
In the opening session program, there are 454 attendees from 22 countries and also 20 cooperators from Thailand, held at Grand Ballroom, Galadari Hotel. The Federation of Thrift and Credit Cooperative Societies Ltd. (FTCCS or SANASA Federation) as co-host provided a fantastic welcome performance to attendees. Dr. Moon, Chul-Sang, ACCU President and NACUFOK Chairman & President addressed a welcome speech. Besides, Mr. Serge Gosselin, Director Market Development - Developpement International Desjardins (DID), also addressed a congratulatory speech in the opening program.
Mr. Anan Chatrupracheewin, former FSCT’s General Manager, was honored from ACCU to acquire “the 2017 Recognition Award” as the best cooperator in Asia in the opening session program.
For the topic in 2 days forum by the leading resources speaker from other countries such as Canada, Thailand, Philippines, Hong Kong, Nepal and Korea etc.

In the last night, SANASA Federation organized “International Night” which had the token auction from different countries and also concert and cultural costume.
For the 2018 ACCU Forum and AGM, the honorable co-hosts are National Confederation of Cooperatives – Philippines (NATCCO) and Philippine Federation of Credit Cooperatives (PFCCO) in September 2018. That is a great opportunity for Asian SACCO/CU leaders to exchange the ideas, information and experiences again next year.
